Please be neat and tidy when you come to school on that day and just be prepared to smile! We don't have all day, so please do not demand your picture to be retaken a million times. This photo shoot session is only limited to those who actually CONTRIBUTED and DID WORK for the magazine, so, if we cannot see any visible results from your efforts, then, we're sorry but you are excluded from the editorial board. Please do not be angry with us as this has been repeated so many times in the past and as the saying goes, you reap what you sow.

all ed boards must come for meetings. if possible, do come for the permata club meeting too.

kalau buat kerja takpe jugak.
don't say i'm the one who doesn't give you any work. kalau tak jumpa, macam mana nak bagi? atleast make an effort to see me at class and show your commitment.
if you're no longer interested, have the decency to tell it to my face. you'll make my life much easier.

REMINDERS.
1. senior page! please hand in your senior page design (hard disc + soft disk) by 20th of July, not in august okay. don't forget the payment too, depends on how many pages you guys decided to take.
2. attention to the secretaries (old or new, whichever) of pengawas sekolah, pengawas pusat sumber, pengawas koperasi and pengawas musolla. hand in your reports by 17th of July. together with the payment.
~RM230 for coloured page, free for black and white.
~maximum 2 pages.
3. cover designing competition! closing date: 20th of July. hurry guys!
4. i have finally found the perfect design for our ed board and permata tshirt. hooray!

senior page - part 2
please send in your senior page to us the latest by early of august. we need to go through it first before approving it to be send to the printer.
sharinna (5B) is the person in charge of the senior page section.
reminder:
- COLOURED PAGE - RM430 per page.
- BLACK AND WHITE PAGE - RM200 per page.
- maximum 3 pages per class.
- no obscene pictures (pictures of students wearing short skirts, sexy dresses, micro shorts, spaghetti strap top, tube top, etc.)
- dateline: 1st - 5th of august 2009.

Due to the poor response of students' work submitted for publication, we are increasing the time limit and you are given till the end of July to submit your masterpiece to be published in the school magazine. There are so many topics and themes you can choose from and a multitude of ways to express your views and opinions. Get creative people!
Also, everyone in the editorial board are required to submit a piece for the school magazine. It can be something serious or something fun.
Those who want to pass up their work, please see/contact these people:

Senior Page
Calling all Form Fives!!!
As you are all aware of, Form Five is the big one. It's the year you take the all important SPM exams, mature into young and responsible adults and it also happens to be your FINAL year in SMK USJ 13 a.k.a your home away from home for the last 5 years. I'm sure you've all had some wonderful memories in this place, both ones that made you laugh as well as ones that made you cry. Why not share those memories with the rest of the school? The senior page was created especially for the Form Fives so that you guys can share all your experiences with the younger ones as well as a personal momento for each of you. It's the place where you can show off your talents for layout design and photoshopping skills as well as a canvas of all your memories and experiences in SMK USJ 13.
Some tips:
1. Please use CLEAR images so that everyone can see/identify who you are even in the years to come.
2. Please REFRAIN from using explicit images. If you want to put pictures from your class party where some of your classmates were trendily dressed, please edit it in a way that tones down the trendiness. Remember, this is a school magazine/yearbook. The editorial board reserves the right to reject your senior page design if we find that it is not appropriate.
3. If possible, please include your dear teachers who have worked so hard to equip you with enough knowledge and skills for the future. Without them you are nobody. The least you could do to show your appreciation for them is to include their names in your senior page. Let them know that you appreciate all their hard work.
Some info about the senior page for those of you who don't know:
1. You are allowed to choose the number of pages you want for your class. However, bear in mind that the more pages you choose, the more you have to pay.
2. The rates are as follows:
1 page(non-coloured) = RM200.00
1 page(coloured) = RM430.00
3. You can either pay by collecting money from your classmates, through your class fund or find SPONSORS that are willing to donate money by placing advertisements in the school magazine.
4. Deadline for all senior page design is by JULY 2009. Any later than that and the editorial board reserves the right to penalise you and not include your class's senior page in the magazine.
That's about it. Have fun taking pictures and designing the senior page. Do it with love and cherish every moment you have with your friends for after your SPM you will all go your own ways. Also, Form Five is not the end, it is just the beginning of an amazing journey ahead!
